Powering Community Connections: Dyce Energy’s Year of supporting b:friend
Rotherham-based energy supplier company, Dyce Energy, raised £1181.93 for b:friend, their charity of the year, through daring challenges like the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, office games like a putting contest, sweepstakes, and their office tuck shop.
Besides their amazing fundraising efforts, employees also volunteered at b:friend’s Bolton upon Dearne Social Club throughout the year. The Bolton Club is one of the charity’s weekly social clubs that bring older neighbours together through fun activities to boost body and mind.
Older neighbours at Bolton upon Dearne have enjoyed meeting the Dyce Energy team, who joined the club for some indoor curling, a Tudor-themed session and some competitive fishing, to name just a few.

Calvin Chee, Marketing Co-ordinator at Dyce Energy, said:
“We all loved the atmosphere down at the community centre. Jenny, the club host, and the b:friend club members were all lovely and welcoming. We all really enjoyed actually making a difference and getting involved. We’ve all supported charities before, but it was great to do more than just raise funds and get involved with the activities.
“It’s part of our culture at Dyce to try to support our local community where possible, and working with b:friend really helped us achieve this.”
