Clay Lane Legal July Will Writing Month in aid of b:friend
During July, our charity partnered with Clay Lane Legal, a local solicitors based in Clay Cross, Derbyshire, to offer a Will writing service that benefits both local people and b:friend.

How does the Will Writing Month work?
Making a Will is really important to make sure your loved ones are taken care of, so it’s clear who you would like to inherit your estate. If you die without a Will this may not happen.
Clay Lane Legal are waiving their fees and donating their time and expertise so local people can benefit from having a Will professionally drafted.
In return, Clay Lane Legal are asking clients to make a suggested minimum voluntary donation of just £75 for a single simple Will or £150 for a mirror Will (for a couple) that will go directly to b:friend.
We understand that your loved ones will always come first. There is no obligation but a gift in your Will, no mater how large or small, can help ensure b:friend will be here in the future.
Anyone wishing to take advantage of the Will Writing Month offer must book an appointment during July. Clay Lane Legal solicitors have an office in Clay Cross but are also happy to discuss other ways to arrange appointments for those who cannot make it in person.

Why support b:friend?

“b:friend has saved my life. I was ready to give up when I lost my husband but now I have something to look forward to.”
Over 151,000 people aged 65+ currently live alone in our region, a number expected to grow to 180,000 by 2041. Loneliness has a profound impact on older people, particularly those living alone. b:friend creates connections through one-to-one and group befriending in South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, and Nottinghamshire. Each year, the charity supports over 1,000 older adults, helping them reconnect with their communities and ensuring no one has to face life’s challenges alone. With your support, we can continue this vital work for years to come.
