Meet the team: Jess Hollins

We are delighted to welcome to the team our new Befriending Coordinator, Jess Hollins.

Jess recently started at b:friend and will work on our 1:1 befriending programmes in South Yorkshire as well as leading our Wheatley Hills and Mexborough Social Clubs.

Jess said: “I joined b:friend as I wanted to be able to make a difference to people’s lives by making them feel less alone. I’m excited to make the connections between our befrienders and older neighbours and also getting out into the community at our Social Clubs.

“I come from an administrative background and have worked in roles within the education and health sectors. I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to use my skills to further develop the charity whilst helping to combat loneliness within our community.”

Best b:friend memory: My b:friend welcome breakfast where I got to meet most of the team. Everyone was so welcoming, and one of the team had brought in the nicest cake!
