Meet Rachael, our new Nottinghamshire Befriending Coordinator
We are delighted to welcome to the team our new Befriending Coordinator, Rachael Beavon-Baldwin.
Rachael joined b:friend in August to help our charity create more friendships for older neighbours in Nottinghamshire. She will work on our 1:1 befriending programmes as well as launching b:friend’s first Nottinghamshire Social Club.
Rachael said: “It’s been great to join the b:friend team and I’m looking forward to helping people feel more connected. It will be lovely to work with our volunteers and older neighbours who make a difference to the lives of each other.
“I come from a coaching background and I am motivated by how people feel and what they would like to achieve. I now have a great opportunity to apply this within a community setting and feel passionate about adding more value to people’s lives.”

Joined b:friend: August 2024
Love: Getting outdoors, exploring the UK and spending time with family
Dislike: Rollercoasters and seafood!
Best b:friend memory: Being welcomed into b:friend by the lovely team during our away day and visiting my first Social Club in Gleadless – I’m sure there are many more to follow!
